Sobre nosotros

Cuando en el año 2009 informan del futuro cierre de la compañía en que laboraba, tomé la decisión de apostar por la agricultura del país. En un momento dado, en el año 2010, viajo a los Estados Unidos a visitar una planta germinadora, para ver los procesos, los equipos, los materiales que necesitaría y educarme sobre los procesos de germinación.

En mayo 12 de 2011, comencé la construcción de lo que inicialmente fue Germinados Campo Verde. En octubre del 2013 se inició la producción comercial de 4 productos (Alfalfa, Brócoli, Clover y Crunchy Mix), con un único lote de 15 docenas. En esos años hacía la distribución en una “van” refrigerada. Inicié con la distribuidora Hill Brothers y luego incursionamos con la cadena Pueblo, entramos en la cadena SuperMax y algunos restaurantes locales.

En el 2017 llegó el Huracán María a Puerto Rico y en ese momento todo se tornó tan difícil que pensé rendirme y mudarme a Canadá, donde la industria de germinados era muy productiva. Sin embargo, en el 2018, no solo decido quedarme en Puerto Rico, si no que comienzo a expandir el área de producción. Posteriormente en el 2019 se inauguraron las nuevas facilidades de Germinados Campo Verde, añadiéndose los laboratorios y logrando estar en cumplimiento con las regulaciones federales. Ese mismo año iniciamos negocios con la cadena de Supermercados Econo.

En 2020, luego de los temblores y el inicio de la pandemia, decidimos iniciar FoodMetrics Puerto Rico Laboratories para brindar servicios a todos los agricultores y toda la industria de alimentos de PR. En el 2021 comenzamos una nueva expansión y actualmente contamos con diez productos en el mercado (Alfalfa, Brócoli, Clover, Rainbow Mix, Mung Beans, CrunchyMix, Ajo, Cebolla, Cilantro y Blossom Mix). Realizamos una transición de nombre y oficialmente, en verano del año 2021, nuestro nombre cambió a Germinados Campo Juliana LLC, en honor a mi hija.

About us

When in 2009 they reported the future closure of the company where I worked, I made the decision to bet on the country's agriculture. At one point, in 2010, I traveled to the United States to visit a sprouting plant, to see the processes, the equipment, the materials that I would need, and educate myself on the sprouting processes.

On May 12, 2011, I began the construction of what was initially Germinados Campo Verde. In October 2013, the commercial production of 4 products (Alfalfa, Broccoli, Clover and Crunchy Mix) began, with a single batch of 15 dozen. In those years he did the distribution in a refrigerated "van". I started with the Hill Brothers distributor and then we ventured into the Pueblo chain, we entered the SuperMax chain and some local restaurants.

In 2017, Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and at that moment everything became so difficult that I thought about giving up and moving to Canada, where the sprout industry was very productive. However, in 2018, I not only decided to stay in Puerto Rico, but also began to expand the production area. Later in 2019 the new Germinados Campo Verde facilities were inaugurated, adding the laboratories and achieving compliance with federal regulations. That same year we started business with the Econo Supermarket chain.

In 2020, after the tremors and the start of the pandemic, we decided to start FoodMetrics Puerto Rico Laboratories to provide services to all farmers and the entire food industry in PR. In 2021 we began a new expansion and we currently have ten products on the market (Alfalfa, Broccoli, Clover, Rainbow Mix, Mung Beans, CrunchyMix, Garlic, Onion, Cilantro and Blossom Mix). We made a name transition and officially, in the summer of 2021, our name changed to Germinados Campo Juliana LLC, in honor of my daughter.

Alfalfa

•Our products are regulated by the FDA under the FSMA law with the CFR-21 Law: Part 117 and part 112 with subpart M. To comply with this, each batch that goes on the market is microbiologically analyzed to detect the presence or absence of the pathogenic bacteria Listeria, E.coli 0157 and Salmonella.
